Pattaya police were notified in the early hours of Saturday morning by the Sawang Boriboon volunteers that a Thai man had been found dead on Pattaya Beach near to the entrance to Walking Street. The man, later identified as 50 year old Mr. Wiwong was surrounded by inquisitive tourists. Apparently, he had been lying there for over 4 hours. On searching the body officers found a packet of Paracetamol, there was no indication of any foul play. A friend came forward and declared that they both were alcoholics, unemployed and homeless and slept on the nearby roof of the tourist information centre. The body was taken away for autopsy.
