In the early hours of Thursday morning Huay Yai police were notified that the body of a Thai man had been discovered near the Palm Gardens in the area. The dead man, later identified as 43 year old Mr. Banpot had been shot 6 times in the head and upper body. They found 17,000 baht and an ATM card on his body together with his ID card. The manager of the garden, Mr. Watchira who notified the police stated that earlier a group of men on motorcycles were riding through the grounds and then loud gunfire shots were heard as the gang quickly left the scene. A report was made and police believe it is a local gang related incident. A full investigation is now underway.
