On Friday evening Sawang Boriboon Rescue Volunteers received a call from the Srikram Radio Communication Center that a dead turtle had been found washed ashore on Jomtien Beach. On arrival at the scene near the Dongtan Police station, the team found the dead adult turtle surrounded by curious tourists. The turtle aged around 30 years had probably been hit by a passing boat, so was taken away to be examined at the Department of Fisheries.
