Iranian Tourist Causes Accident and Death - Pattaya People

On Saturday night, the Pattaya Police Investigating Inspector Pol. Capt. Tidiwat Boon-on were called to investigate an accident on Pattaya’s Third Road, by the Balihai Flyover Bridge and next to the Easy Kart racetrack.  The calamity occurred between a motorcycle and a car, with 1 death and 2 serious injuries reported.

The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team was also summoned for medical assistance and traffic control, and at the scene, many people gathered to view the accident. The body of a Thai woman, identified as Miss Sucha-sinee Sao-chai, aged 30 was devastated by this accident, with injuries to her face and all around her body. A white Yamaha Mio motorcycle was found on the road, wrecked in the front, and there were 2 injured persons reported as well, Mr. Atiwat Pimpa, aged 32, the motorcycle driver who received minor injuries and Mr. Jagree Sawatsaloong, aged 35, whose right leg was broken. Both were dispatched to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

The other party to the incident was an Iranian tourist Mr. Hamed Madan Nezhad, aged 32, the driver of the white Mazda 2 car that crashed into the motorcycle of the 3 Thais. Hamed and his friend were waiting to make their statement with police.

The story reported by Atiwat was that the 3 Thais were heading home from  Balihai Pier, and were about to drive over the Balihai Flyover Bridge, while the car driven by Hamed was motoring towards Balihai Pier on the opposite lane. Mr. Hamed then overtook a vehicle in front of him, but was unable to return to the correct lane in time. So the Mazda 2 car ran straight into the motorcycle and its 3 passengers, causing Atiwat to careen over the car, while his girlfriend and male friend slammed into the car and the road, causing his girlfriend’s instant death.

Further investigations started with questioning Hamed at the Pattaya Police Station, and will continue when the injured can make full statements. The body of Miss Suchasinee was sent to Banglamung Hospital, and awaits the family for a religious funeral.
