Pattaya police announced on Friday morning that a number of people had been arrested for various crimes the previous day. Akarak, aged 21, was caught by a police volunteer after stealing a gold chain from a victim riding on a baht bus along Naklua Road. Also arrested were three men, in their 20s, all members of a gang of thieves operating around Soi Bongkot in South Pattaya. They were caught with two shoulder bags, one of which belonged to 26 year old Jakree who they attacked. Fortunately, a police officer was nearby and witnessed the incident and gave chase catching the offenders further down the road. All now await their day in court.
