This last Sunday one of Pattaya’s most popular and oldest charity events took place. Time certainly flies by as this is the 15th occasion that the Jesters Care for Kids annual fair took place, again at its regular venue, the Diana Garden Resort in North Pattaya. The stage was set for a fantastic day of fun and games in the resort grounds. The place was filled with stalls, entertainment stages, public facilities, and loads of rides and games, plus a climbing mountain and horse rides, all set up for an incredible family day out, all in aid of charity. This September, the weather was kinder than the same time last year, when sadly the event was a washout with a tremendous downpour of torrential rain. To add to the great atmosphere, Jesters had the cooperation of Pattaya City Hall, Lions Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Regents International School and all media groups, including Pattaya People Media Group. All funds raised will go to helping underprivileged children and other local community services, such as the maintenance of rural schools with clean drinking water, toilets, canteens and other essential projects. Other needy organizations helped were Father Ray Foundation, the Baan Jing Jai, and Pattaya Orphanage. Guests were entertained with singers, dancers and bands made up from local schools, including Regents and the Garden International School in Rayong. The day was a great success, and it is not over yet! There will be a gala dinner planned for Saturday, 22nd September at the Amari Orchid Pattaya Resort on North Pattaya Beach Road where all the items from sponsors, such as famous stars of the big screen and TV will be auctioned plus surprise guests will attend to raise more money for the Jesters Care for Kids Charity.
