A Motorbike driver was killed in, what is thought to be, a single-vehicle road accident on the Sukhumvit Road in Jomtien early on Thursday Morning. The dead man, who reportedly clipped the curb and was catapulted off his bike into a pile of large concrete blocks on the pavement, was carrying no ID and is thought to be in his mid-thirties. A witness claimed he saw the bike approach at speed and it initially clipped a refuse bin on the side of the road. The bike then hit the pavement throwing the driver onto the stones. A sticker on the front of the bike suggested he may be a resident at a Government Housing Project in the Na-Jomtien area but his identity is still unknown. For now the body has been taken to the Morgue at Banglamung Hospital pending further investigations.
