On Friday, the Surasak Municipality, led by its Mayor Akom Panchalermchai held a meeting to gather ideas to plan for improving the physical circumstances of Surasak Municipality and surrounding areas. The aim of these improvements will be preventing potential flooding, as the Meteorological Department is predicting approaching storms.
As 2011 was an expensive lesson in flood damage, officials have decided to start as soon as possible, before the storms attack again this year. The meeting agreed to set up a balance between environmental and natural surroundings, and ways to clean the drainage canals, which will be started shortly.
