Five slot machines which pay out money to those that win were seized by Police from a small area behind a Cabaret Show located on Pattaya Second Road early on Friday Morning.
In Thailand, the use of slot machines is not permitted and contravenes Thailand’s strict gambling legislation.
The owner of the Cabaret Show claimed she rented out the space and was not aware of the slot machines and she also did not know the name of the person the area was rented to.
A Police informant tipped-off Police of the presence of the machines but before officers arrived, the apparent owner of the machines fled.
Investigations are on-going as Police are determined to catch the slot machine operator and bring him to justice.
