Wrestling May Be Added to 27th SEA Games - Pattaya People

On Monday at The Park Hotel in Central Pattaya, The Asian Wrestling Federation held a meeting with the relevant countries to consider adding wrestling to the 27th South East Asian Games. The SEA Games will be held in December 2013 in Myanmar, but wrestling has not yet been added in this tournament.

As Thailand has been helping Myanmar advance in many types of sport, this request emphasized to the reps of the relevant countries the desire to help Thailand promote wrestling to the younger generation. Adding wrestling to the Games will improve the contenders skills, to meet international standards in the near future

Myanmar will host the 27th South East Asian Games, and hopes to win over 100 Gold medals in the 2013 contests, from December 11 to 22, 2013.  The SEA Games, held every two years since 1959, is the largest sports event in Southeast Asia and includes 32 types of sports competitions.
