The 1st Lunar Month after the full moon marking the end of Buddhist Lent is always the day for making this great merit. called “Tahk-baht-tay-woe” means Devotees offer food to the monks on the same day that Lord Buddha returned to earth from visiting a heavenly realm, where he  gave a sermon to his mother after her death. After the Lord Buddha returned to earth, he then visited an earthly Sahng-gah-sa Kingdom, where he gave a sermon and demonstrated paranormal abilities, to reveal the holy powers of enlightenment to the 3 realms of heaven, earth and hell.
