Crackdown on Drugs - Pattaya People

On Tuesday, the Banglamung Police held a press conference to announce the arrest of 4 suspects, 2 for drugs offences and 2 for theft. The 2 druggies were Thong-poon So-ra-net, aged 43, a Thai woman in possession of 147 tablets of YABA, and Wan-dee Wai-ja-ra, aged 54, a Thai man, in possession of a 1.5 meters high marijuana plant.

The two suspects of theft were Pa-yoong-sak Sri-su-wan, aged 38 and Na-ret Chim-vi-set, aged 33, both Thai men, with the possession of television and 2 sets of electric drills. The Police revealed that due to Police investigations, it was revealed that Thong-poon was selling drugs to teenagers in the area. Police then went to investigate, and discovered her sitting in front of her house. The Police searched her home, and found the 147 tablets of YABA. As for Wan-dee, the police had been informed that Wan-dee was growing a marijuana plant behind his house. He claimed that he planted the pot as an ingredient to use in cooking.

The Police arrested the two thieves at a gasoline station, charging them with theft. The two were riding around a parking area at a construction workers’ camp, and nabbing their valuables such as drills and other tools. The robbers would put them in the back of their pickup, and then sell the items to get cash for buying drugs. All the suspects are awaiting their day in court.
