Vegetable Prices Impacted by Relentless Downpours - Pattaya People

As Northern Thailand has been severely flooded, a survey on prices was made by reporters on Sunday afternoon at the Chaiyamongkon Fresh Market in South Pattaya. The results were as expected: all vegetable venders stated that the massive flooding in the North has goosed up the prices of almost every kind of vegetable, especially Chinese Lettuces, Spring Onions, Bean Sprouts, Limes, etc.

A suggestion was made to all shoppers to look for vegetables from local farms at the moment, which are a great deal cheaper than those from the North, as the middle men add transportation charges to the price of the produce before it reaches Pattaya.
