Committee Discusses Guidelines for Jet Ski Operators - Pattaya People

Another important step was taken on Monday afternoon by the new committee set up to monitor Jet Ski business operators in Pattaya, Jomtien and Lan Island. A meeting took place at Pattaya City Hall, which was chaired by Chonburi Governor, Mr. Komsan Ekachai.   The committee discussed with members from the Jet Ski Business Operators Club, the issues regarding their seafront businesses, such as operating times, standard prices, and the main issue concerning unscrupulous operators who have damaged their industry by overcharging (and threatening) tourists for compensation if they get involved in damaging a rented Jet Ski.  A code of conduct has been issued for operators to follow with compulsory fines and even cancellation of licenses if operators fail to comply with the committee’s guidelines.
