Chonburi Police arrested three members of the same family on Thursday, accused of involvement in a necklace snatch which occurred in Chonburi City. Police Lieutenant Colonel Komson, Deputy Chief of Chonburi City Police, held a press conference at the Police Station on Thursday to announce the arrest of Khun Prayoon aged 45, who is suspected of snatching the necklace from around the neck of Khun Jalan who was walking along the street when the male suspect drove beside her and snatched the gold necklace. Also arrested were two females, Khun Nan aged 65, who is the wife of the suspected snatcher and Khun Jiraporn, their daughter-in-law, who are both suspected of attempting to pawn the stolen item. We understand the family are currently experiencing financial problems due to money owed to football gambling agents and were unable to honour repayment schedules which forced them to conduct the necklace snatch according to their statements. All three are now behind bars awaiting trial.
