Marine Ecosystem Rescue Project - Pattaya People

On Tuesday morning at Pattaya City Hall, a Deputy Mayor Ronagit Ekasing chaired a meeting to prepare all relevant authorities for the Marine Ecosystem Rescue Project. Pattaya City Hall will work with the Royal Thai Navy’s Department of Marine and Coastal Resources to protect and enhance the seashore and marine life in Rayong and Chonburi. This project is also to praise HM the Crown Prince on the occasion of his 60th Birthday.

The Grand Opening of this project will be on Sat 20 October on Pattaya Beach in front of Soi 4. The foremost project will be to sink a de-commissioned Royal Vessel near Lan Island, to create a reef for all marine life, which has been a successful and ecological undertaking in other marine environments.

The meeting also agreed on assignments for all authorities to manage the opening, including traffic control, and security procedures. This mission gives great hope to Pattayans, who can look forward to having beautiful and diversified reefs which will sustain marine life well into the future.
