Integration of Police Forces for Crackdown on Crime - Pattaya People

At Pattaya City Hall on Tuesday afternoon, the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, Police General A-dul Saeng-sing-Kaew and many high ranking Police officers, came to review tourist safety policies and criminal crackdowns in the Pattaya area.

Police General A-dul said that Pattaya is held to be a very important and well known tourist resort, providing a good economy for all here. But there are many crimes taking place in the area, such as robberies and rapes, which affect the image of Pattaya and Thai land as a tourist destination, so all offenders must be swept out the area to bring confidence to the tourists.

The first step will be the integration of the police forces from the Provincial Police Region 2, the Immigration Police, the Narcotics Control Board, the tourist Police, Highway Police, and the military and police volunteers, to prevent crimes scene and crackdown on perpetrators. The period of this undertaking will be 30 days, from January 7 - February 8, 2013. The Police General also ordered the officers to follow up on all cases, both old and new, and to keep a keen eye on suspicious and risky groups, to reduce criminal activities and make Pattaya even safer for tourists.
