Committee Appointed to Investigate Attack on Pattaya Police Superintendent's ... - Pattaya People

As a result of the recent attack on Pattaya Police Superintendent’s residence at the rear of the police station, a committee has been appointed to investigate the incident.  During New Year’s Eve, the window of the building had been shot at by an unknown drunken man, apparently dressed in police uniform.   Later it was revealed that the assailant was a disgruntled police officer who apparently lost a lot of illegal paybacks due to the Superintendent’s new policy against corruption, of being transparent with police activities and bribes from local businesses were no longer tolerated.  Police Colonel Suwan suggested that as far as he is concerned no criminal charges will be pressed against the suspect. However, further investigation continues and the Superintendent will leave the decision to prosecute with his police superiors in Chonburi.
