Complaints about Unlicensed Taxis in Pattaya - Pattaya People

A meeting took place at Pattaya City Hall on Wednesday afternoon to discuss problems and complaints about illegal taxis operating in the city.  All relevant authorities attended, chaired by Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Aegasing, as the problems have escalated with many complaints about unacceptable bad behavior from taxi drivers from tourists, both Thai and internationals.  Not only that but rogue drivers also park their cars or minibuses en masse on busy roads and red zones, thus causing traffic jams and accidents.  A programme is to be set up to inform everyone that registered taxis carry yellow license plates that prove they are local and registered to carry passengers. Vehicles with black license plates are only registered as for personal use.
