A female pedestrian was killed, another was seriously injured and a dog was later put-to-sleep due to its injuries in an early morning road crash on the Sukhumvit Road in the northern outskirts of Pattaya on Saturday. Police and rescue services were called to the scene of the crash which is thought to have been caused by a motorbike coming out from a side road without looking. Khun Tanitpong aged 27, the driver of the Black Honda City was on his way back home with his girlfriend. Both were suspected by Police of being intoxicated. He claimed that he took evasive action to avoid the motorbike but was driving too fast and lost control of the vehicle which slammed into the two pedestrians who were thrown into an advertising board. Khun Doo aged 63 was killed and Khun Bunleu aged 54 sustained two broken legs and other more minor injuries. Police arrested the driver of the car who is still being held by Police pending further investigations.
