On Saturday at 1 am, the Pattaya Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Gittanet Chiao-na-win-ta-wat led a team of police and police volunteers went to arrest Mr. Panuwat Yodsiln, aged 20, and his 2 women friends. Anti Narcotics Programme Introduced to Pattaya - Pattaya People

On Wednesday afternoon at Pattaya City Hall, Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Aegasing called a meeting to inform all relevant authorities about the latest policy given by the Center of National Anti-Narcotics Bureau.  Their policy is to focus attention on cities that have high rates of drug offences, both trafficking and addiction.  Their strategy is to work closely with the police and local communities to establish an office to gather information related to drugs, and to hopefully get addicts to get into a rehabilitation programme after which they will be helped to achieve a career with further education in the hope they will not return to relying on narcotics in their lives.

Pinthong Industrial Estate Tackles Narcotics - Pattaya People

On Saturday in the area of the Pintong Industrial Estate, a project called the “White Pinthong Community” was opened by the Secretary of the Labor Ministry Mr. Sa-ngaa Ta-na-sa-nguan-wong. This project is one of the Anti-Narcotics Projects, as the narcotics issue has become a National Issue, and all the manufacturers in the Pinthong Industrial Estate decided to join this project to honor HM the King on the occasion of his 84th Birthday.

As there are 54,100 manufacturers and factories with 5,645,020 workers, the Pintong Industrial Estate can be a powerful force for this project, if all workers are found to be clean from drugs. There has been, and will be, evaluations to select the White Factories during each evaluation period. 31 factories passed the evaluation this time, and received certificates of completion and entered the White Pinthong Community.
