Fire at Foam Factory - Pattaya People

The Nongkham Police received notice of a fire at the SPI Group factory in Sriracha. 5 fire engines were called to extinguish the dangerous blaze. At the scene there were 2 companies in 10 buildings owned by Koreans. The fire started in the 5th building and then jumped to the 4th and 3rd buildings. The fire fighters tried to stop the flames, but because the interiors of the buildings were full of foam granules, an excellent fuel for fires, this caused great difficulty to the firemen. Finally after one and a half hours,  the fires were quenched.  The inferno totally destroyed the 5th and 4th buildings and slightly damaged the 3rd building. The investigation revealed that while the workers were pouring foam granules into the molding oven, a spark of fire flew out of the oven and ignited the foam granules, starting the blaze immediately. At this point the employees hurried out the building and called the authorities.

pattya city real estate property condos house sale rent buy jomtien bangkok luxury hotel spa resort store gold silver

Over the weekend, a worker at a Coconut Factory in the Nong Pla Lai area lost four fingers on his right hand following an accident with a machine used to grind down coconut shells. Khun Suchart aged 29 was working alone at the time of the accident so the exact cause was unknown as he was unable to speak with others due to the extreme pain caused by his hand being pulled into the machine. Rescue Workers were called to the scene and carefully bandaged the hand and prepared him for transport to Hospital where Doctors have yet to confirm if he will lose his entire hand. His four fingers cannot be reattached. Fellow Workers expect this to be a momentary lapse in concentration as he is known as a good worker with a clean safety record.
