Electric Cable Thieves in Sriracha - Pattaya People

 

 

On Saturday, the Napraw-Sriracha Police were called by residents of Eastern Land Villas 1, located in the Surasak Sub-district. They reported that 2 men were caught cutting electric cables in the villas, but they managed to flee the scene by motorcycle when they were discovered.

One of the thieves was recognized, and his name was given to the police as Mr. Sampan Pongsee, aged 37. The police have criminal records for this suspect  for at least four more thefts, so it should not be difficult to track down this gang, and bring them to justice for the peace of everyone.

Mini Marathon of Mitsubishi Electric Kanyong Wattana Ltd - Pattaya People

 

Early on Sunday morning at the front of Numchai Home Appliances on Sukhumvit, Pattaya’s Mayor Ittipon Khunpleum opened a Walk & Run for Charity under the title “Run For Health”.  The occasion was the 40th Anniversary of Mitsubishi Electric Kanyong Wattana Ltd, and the purpose of the drive was to raise funds to buy open door gym equipment for Pattaya City Hall, for the people of Pattaya to use to get healthy.

Over 2,000 people and associates of Mitsubishi Electric joined the contest. This Run For Health Campaign is being held in 6 provinces, including Phuket, Pisanulok, Surat Thani, Kanjanaburi, Chiang Rai and Pattaya-Chonburi. The marathon offered 2 running categories, the 10 Km Mini-marathon and the 4 Km Walk-Run For Health, and was also divided into many age groups, from 15 – over 50 years old.

The Winner of Mini-marathon was Mr. Uoomyod Git-u-dom, aged 28 from the Baang-koon-tian Running Group, who received a trophy from Mayor Ittipon Khunpleum .  The other winners received many prizes as well, such as MR-18DA fridge, a standing fan, etc.

Managing Electric Cables - Pattaya People


On Wednesday morning at Pattaya City Hall, a meeting of the Civil Engineering and City Planning Department of City Hall was directed by its Committee Chairman Mr. Banleu Goonlawanit. This meeting was the 1st of the Committee in 2012, and the members came to review and discuss the Electric Cables Management Policies.

The representatives from the City Council, CAT Telecom (Public) Ltd, the Regional Electric Station and local Cable TV Networks attended the meeting, to gather ideas and seek the best solution to the many tangled and often unused cables seen all over town. Everyone deemed it very important to place the cables underground, and remove the current cables from along the roadsides, starting on Sukhumvit Road from the North to the South. The project will be started as soon as all aspects of the task are summarized and agreed upon by all interested parties.

Pattaya Elephant Village Over the centuries, elephants have dished Thailand in a diversify of roles, opening when huge well weapons in times of war & transitioning to wolves of burden in the teakwood forest industry. Man Receives Electric Shock at Bali Hai Pier - Pattaya People



Sawang Boriboon volunteers were notified to attend to an electric shock incident that had occurred at Bali Hai pier in the early hours of Saturday morning.  At the new quay construction, a worker had accidently received an electric shock after handling a faulty cable.  The 42 year old man was in shock but in a stable condition as he was taken to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya for treatment.

Electric Companies Convention at Royal Cliff Beach Resort - Pattaya People



A convention was held by the Provincial Electricity Authority and the Thai Electric and Mechanical Contractors Association at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort on the morning of the 17th August.  Local industrial operators attended to view the latest technology and services offered by the companies in readiness for Thailand’s entry into the new open policies of the ASEAN communities similar to the European Union.
