A Bail Bond Agent was found seriously injured in his family home in Chonburi City on Thursday afternoon. Police were called to the home of Khun Sanyar aged 32 after a friend who was concerned that he had not answered the phone for the last 24 hours went to the house and saw Khun Sanyar lying on the floor in one of the bedrooms. His upper body was covered in blood stains and he was in a semi-conscious state. Due to the extent of his injuries he was also unable to move and is thought to have remained on the floor for at least 12 hours. Also in the house was his mother but due to a recent stroke she is unable to move or speak and was therefore unable to assist her son or tell Police what had occurred.  Police spoke with neighbours who spotted a man on a motorbike pull-up in front of the house on Wednesday Night. They did not think this was suspicious as due to the nature of his work, he would often entertain visitors at the house. Neighbours did hear some commotion inside the house but did not deem it serious enough to call the Police. It was clear that  items had been taken from the house which was ransacked by however conducted the vicious attack, but Police cannot confirm what had been stolen. Khun Sanyar was rushed to Hospital as Police continue their investigations into the crime.

DSI investigate Slaughterhouse corruption case in Chonburi

pattya city real estate property condos house sale rent buy jomtien bangkok luxury hotel spa resort store gold silver
The Department of Special Investigations (DSI) investigated a case of suspected corruption involving a Pig Slaughterhouse and Local Government Officials. A raid of the government-owned slaughterhouse in the Chonburi City area took place on Wednesday afternoon led by Khun Prowit, Director of the DSI Eastern Seaboard Unit who were joined by officers from the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC). DSI Officers were heavily armed with good reason as one man aged 73 was found sitting at the front of the main building with a gun in his bag. A total of 19 illegal foreign workers were also found inside the Slaughterhouse and detained. The main issue being investigated by the DSI Team centres on allegations that well over the permitted number of pigs are being slaughtered on a daily basis and they are not being declared. It is thought the Chonburi City Administration may be aware of this but are not taking action. They are permitted to slaughter a maximum of 250 pigs per day and on the day of the raid at least 500 pigs were counted and had been placed in a holding area prior to slaughter. The Manager of the Slaughterhouse claimed that due to a Chinese Festival the extra meat was required for local markets. This story was supported by the Chief Bailiff of Chonburi City, Khun Jutarat who was later asked about the DSI Investigation. She claimed not to have knowledge of the illegal workers and claimed they were not employed by the City. The investigation continues.
